Entry 0006::Knowing When to Bend But Not Break
Alright, well, Entry 0001 proclaimed the “March of Consistency,” a glorious daily trek into the blogging world. This past weekend, the march took a nosedive into a world of chores, captivating television shows, and yes, even Dorfromantik (don’t judge, spinning those tiles is strangely addictive!). Did I fail? Maybe by the rigid standards I set for myself.
But here’s the thing: this whole daily blog endeavor is a lot harder than it looks. It’s like learning a new language — the rules seem straightforward at first, but the nuances and complexities quickly reveal themselves. One minute you think you’ve grasped the rhythm, the next you’re staring at a blinking cursor, ideas swirling but struggling to find form. You can understand the basic grammar of French, but when a native asks you to write a paragraph about your hobbies, your brain goes blank.
Honestly, this weekend’s break wasn’t just about relaxation. It was about taking a breath, acknowledging the challenges that come with putting yourself out there and starting something completely new. It was about reminding myself why I embarked on this journey in the first place. I’m doing this because I’m fascinated by the intersection of digital, analog, and business. The internet is a key player in that intersection, and blogging is a core function of the internet.
But hey, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. For now, it’s about the journey of creating content and exploring different blogging platforms.
On a separate note, I also restarted my streak on Duolingo. Baby steps, right? Hmm, I think I should add that link to my site under the follow me section.
So, here’s to the march continuing, even with the occasional detour. What about you? Have you ever struggled with sticking to a new routine, especially when it involves putting yourself out there? Share your experiences in the comments below!
